My Fine Companions

Imagine a pub somewhere in a remote part of Ireland. Six friends arrange to meet for a drink.
“Well, it’s been a while”, says one. “Don’t forget your instruments”, says another.
A few drinks in, out come the guitars, the mandolin, the banjo and everything they need to fill the night with music.
No, it isn’t perfect, but everyone’s too busy having a good time to notice.
Those friends are My Fine Companions.

Mama Moonshine

Mama Moonshine began with a sing-song at a party in Hackney. When the night was over the musical encounter had done the job and a jam session was booked in. In the studio, as the band’s chemistry built and lyrics poured forth, it was clear something beautiful was about to happen.

Tales of desire and moments of wonder sway between funk jams and galloping Blues rhythms.

Catching Cairo

Being the middle child of seven children, Cairo cites her siblings tastes as creative influences. Catching Cairo conveys a lyrical vulnerability and clarity, a lucid British sultry vocal combined with new-fashioned production.

“The skittering blend of percussive sounds that bounce, seemingly at random, around the stereo spectrum of ‘Can’t Wait’ from Catching Cairo are balanced out sublimely by an absolutely divine vocal and slowly swelling synth.” – Dash’n’Verve.
